In the fall of 2022, a group of enthusiastic parents and Principal Rolland Hayden came together to brainstorm ways to strengthen community and support Hood River Middle School. With the former parent booster club’s funds lost during the pandemic, we saw an opportunity to start fresh. We incorporated, applied for nonprofit status, and officially launched the Hood River Middle School PTO—a new beginning focused on building connections and making meaningful improvements for our students and staff
The Hood River Middle School PTO is a nonprofit organization operating independently of the school. Our mission is to build a stronger connection between home and school by encouraging family involvement, enhancing the educational experience through academic and enrichment support, and improving the school environment with both financial and volunteer resources.
